just attended Singapore Sports Council Coach Recognition Award Ceremony 2006.
coach arasu was acknowledged with an award due to his contribution to njc.
well...happy for him.

as the video was playing, showcasing interviews with coaches and their students' opinions,
there was this phrase that caught my attention.
Dont think of how fast you run, think of how you run fast.
how true.

yeah it's so right. dont think of how well u are doing, think of how u can do well.
that's so important.so so important.i cant further emphasize it.
it's like sustaining.being humble to keep yourself improving.no point admiring yourself because it will only be -->SO WAD.yet at the same time, u love urself.precisely that's why u are gonna try improving. many things go wrong because pple take things for granted.and thats where u shoot urself in the foot.
again, to create is not easy, but to sustain is even harder.daniel loke's mum told me that 3 years back.
and so, Dont focus on the wrong things.

back to arasu.
1).. If you can let the ball run 20m for you,why bother to run 20m with the ball. Be a thinking player. it itself bears so much meaning.
2) Dont say so much, just show it on the field. we all know empty vessels make the most noise.

i guess these are the two key points i took from him.
and simple because of him, i revel in my role as a striker.as an attacker.and up-to-date, i still enjoy being a striker.i like to latch on to great through-balls.i like to draw defenders.i like to make space for others.i like to create runs.i can lose to the defender numerous times in a match, but all i know is i just need one chance to beat him.i love this optimism.i like to be less involved but pounce once an opportunity arises.opportunity seizer i guess.
